Burlap & Barrel's Cured Sumac grows wild around Gaziantep, Turkey where instead of being dried, it is chopped and packed in salt to preserve it. Sumac is a classic Middle Eastern finishing spice. Swap it for lemon juice or use to add character to salads, fish, meat or dips.

Some of the reviews from fans of Cured Sumac on Burlap & Barrel's site! This Sumac is a home run, I had read about its use in many recipes but Sumac is not available where I live , so I ordered it through Burlap & Barrel. AWESOME, what a wonderful flavor, it can be used in complex spice combos or simply sprinkled on a cucumber (just delicious.). The flavor is full but not overwhelming. And it is an excellent anti inflammatory.
Delicious on fruit, yogurt, all kinds of dishes. Totally obsessed. And try mixing with the Urfa - so fab!!!
