Behind the Company

Snacker Yogi was founded by a talented woman named Bhawna in 2018. As a foodie and health and yoga enthusiast, Bhawna wanted to create foods that are not only nutritious, but delicious and accessible for a wide variety of people with different dietary needs.

Bhawna has not compromised on ingredients even though it would have been cheaper and easier for her to be able to do so. In demo's of Snacker Yogi Puffed Lotus Seeds at farmers' markets (where it was a hit with kids!), the feedback was consistent. Olive oil compared to any other oils that can be inflammatory. Taste was so important.

Well, Bhawna has stuck to her mission of not compromising on ingredients and accessible pricing as much as possible for Canadians.

What is it?

In the Puffed Lotus Seeds, the key ingredients are:

  • Lotus flower seeds
  • Olive oil
  • Himalayan pink salt

Lotus flowers are completely edible from the petals down to the roots. The seeds are a wonderful source of nutrients like potassium and magnesium, and as a plus, they are naturally gluten-free and with a low glycemic index!

Olive oil is also a nutritious ingredient, containing vitamins E and K and is filled with antioxidants. Snacker Yogi Puffed Lotus Seeds are never fried, only roasted, to maintain its nutritional content (frying would increase fat content while lowering fibre content!).
