Philosophie Superfood Plant Based Proteins

SO MUCH MORE than a protein, their philosophy is to make every food a superfood. These are versatile products that can be incorporated in so many recipes!

The Philosophie website has amazing recipes and Sophie Jaffe is dreaming up creative ways to incorporate superfoods into her life. You can find @philosophielove and  @sophie.jaffe on Instagram!

Cacao Magic Superfood Protein: 

  • Heating up the blend does not reduce efficacy! The blend also has maca and reishi which are known for energy and chill!
  • Blend in coffee for a coffee mocha with protein + superfood blend! 
  • Add to coconut milk over the stove to make a delicious protein and superfood hot chocolate! 
  • Add it to baked goods like muffins, pancakes, bread (chocolate protein banana bread – yum), sprinkle on top of yogurt, add to ice cream!
  • My favourite smoothie – ½ banana, 1 tablespoon of your favourite nut butter, nutmilk, flax or chia for fibre, coconut oil & 1 tbsp of Cacao Magic! There’s also another easy recipe on the back!

Berry Bliss Superfood Protein: 

  • Heating up the blend reduces the efficacy and so if you want all of the benefits, keep it cool! The blend is known for it’s Vitamin C and A! 
  • 2 minute breakfast or dessert – FATTY BERRY BLISS YOGURT - sprinkle over yogurt and berries 
  • Berry Superfood Salad dressing! A little bit of lemon, juice, olive oil and crushed berries!
  • My favourite smoothie – berries, ½ banana,1 tablespoon of your favourite nut butter, nutmilk, flax or chia for fibre, coconut oil, and 1 serving of Berry Bliss! Another easy recipe on the back!
  • Another one of my favourites – chia pudding with Berry Bliss – we posted this Berry Bliss Chia Pudding recipe!

Green Dream Superfood Protein: 

  • Heating up the blend does not reduce efficacy! The blend is known for high iron content!
  • My favourite smoothie – apple, spinach, ½ banana, 1 tablespoon of your favourite nut butter, coconut milk or your fav nutmilk and 1 serving of Green Dream!
  • Other tips:
    • Add 1/2 t to any chia seed pudding recipe
    • Add 1/2 t to any yogurt with o Add ½ teaspoon to any yogurt with sweet monk or stevia or honey
    • Add 1 teaspoon to bone broth, soups, vegetables and curries!
    • Add 1 teaspoon to bone broth, soups, vegetables and curries!
    • Add 1 tablespoon to any waffle batter or pancake batter (I add to Legit Pancakes  and Good Dee’s Pancakes
    • Add 1 T to any smoothie
    • Add 1/2 t to a matcha latte
    • Add 1 T to any baking batter or mix, like the Good Dee’s Low Carb Baking Mixes!

Philosophie Superfood Coconut Butters

The Philosophie Coconut Butters are full of love and superfoods! 

Before you open the bottle:

  • Put the entire bottle in warm water for 3 minutes 

  • Then open it and mix up the butter inside! (this instruction is on the back of the bottle too!)

Coconut butter consistency varies depending on the temperature at which it is stored. To soften coconut butter that has hardened in cooler temperatures, simply place the jar in a container of warm water for several minutes or microwave on low for a few seconds at a time to achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. And guess what? No refrigeration necessary!

  • Awesome way to get superfoods for kids! Pour over pancakes and spread over toast. Blend in coffee and matcha

 

Live Organic Wraps 

  • Please watch in the oven – they can burn up very quickly as they do not have wheat and are flax and vegetable based
  • Can be used to make wraps, quesadillas, or tasty nachos like this!
  • The wraps are actually shelf stable but we recommend storing them in the fridge or freezer for longer shelf life! It is normal for them to thaw out during shipping – this is not an issue!
  • Freeze or Refrigerate on arrival! 60 days in the fridge or longer in the freezer!

 

 

Nuez Nutmilks

  • These are frozen nutmilks that you store in your freezer. 
  • Really awesome instructions with pictures are on the back
  • You can blend and drink one bag at a time or both depending on how much you want that day!
  • It’s real nut milk with no preservatives; so after you blend it, it can stored for 2 – 3 days in your fridge!

  • The highest quality cassava flour we have found!
  • They have awesome recipes on their Instagram, Facebook and their website!
  • Use 1:1 substitute in any recipe that calls for flour

Legit Bread 

  • We use the vitamix to blend all ingredients
  • The bread slices freeze awesomely if you wanted to do that

  • Pro tip: Smaller and thinner pancakes work better than large thick ones!
  • Makes LOADS, so you may want to start with ½ the pack and ½ the ingredients

  • Best to refrigerate ghee after opening (fine to keep out of the fridge as long as you go through it quickly).
  • Unopened, shelf life is 2 years. Once opened, it will last up to a year, refrigerated.
  • When substituting ghee for butter in baking, please use half the amount the recipe calls for.
  • Ghee is delicious on veggies, in a boosted coffee (especially the Brown Butter flavour!), on protein of choice, or for all your keto and paleo baking needs!

Good Fat Blends!

  • Store in a cool, dark place (very important!)
  • If it’s near heat, it may melt and the ghee and coconut oil can separate. In case that happens, mix well and store back into a cool, dark place.
  • When substituting Good Fat Blend for butter, please use ¾ the amount that the recipe calls for
  • Blend a spoonful into your morning coffee, tea, matcha, or smoothie
  • 50/50 blend great as heat stable cooking oil for sauteing veggies, or sizzling meat
